What I Wore :)

Latest installment of "What I Wore",
inspired by the series by Viet-My Bui
.

I wore this outfit out to dinner to a really nice Italian restaurant last night with my trusty male companion ;) Lemon-Seared Fresh California Ahi Tuna with Mozzarella and Tomato Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze. It was delicious!

Wanted to try out a different palette and work lighter than I usually do with the lineart :) I like how it came out!

Life is Better with Better Toes

Hey lovely muffins ~

What a lovely day I had yesterday! After a long and arduous week, one of my favourite girls in LA, Teresa (aka StolenTowerDesigns) and I went out for pedicures next to our favourite hair salon. It was amazing and so relaxing! AND the best part?! $23. Yes you heard me. $23 for the whole shebang, including adorable design.

Take a look at my brand new toes!
"Life is Better with Better Toes" - our tagline of the day

This is a pretty big deal for me... I NEVER wear pink. Only recently have I been embracing it as a colour of my life lololol. Afterwards we filled out the day with delicious CoffeeBean coffee, shopping, trying on "attitude" glasses, and buying new shoes * U * What girl doesn't love pedicures, coffee, and new shoes? I got two new headbands which I am dying to wear to work! Later on, we stopped at Chipotle for cheap margaritas and amazing burritos, and then walked down the street for red wine and martinis. Such a perfect, relaxing end to the week :)

* Stay tuned for yesterday's outfit in "What I Wore", and the completion of the WIP of "Lady Snow" in last my post.

I'm also working up some acrylic flower charms that will be featured as bracelets and cell phone charms at AX2010. In addition, new stickers and fun goodies!

Crazy Week | Title Suggestions?

Hi sweeties

Just wanted to give a little update. Work has been total craziness... very very busy. I come home and just want to crawl immediately into bed! Here's to a better week... this one kind of sucked.

Here's a WIP to tickle your fancy :)
Livestreamed the beginning of this - we had a wonderful time at the Livestream and I'll be doing it again very soon!

Suggestions on the title? I'm no good at naming stuff... lololol

Derp derp Blog-fail.

Hello friends ~

As I sit here awaiting my delicious 3rd cup of coffee (drip drip goes coffeemaker), I must reflect with near-embarassment on how I've been such a neglectful blog-mommy. Over a month ago, I had such grand plans for my humble little blog - I was freelancing, had tons of time, and was actually starting to feel at home, nestled in my corner of the interwebs.

And then I got a job. Completely unexpected, out of the blue. To be honest, I was counting on finishing up the spring in LA and then moving back home to the East Coast. I had sent out the last batch of applications, and had settled into a content sort of peace with my decision. Literally the day after I had finally "decided" to move home, I got a call from my soon-to-be boss, asking me to come in for an interview. I went in on Friday and it just clicked, and on Monday I was training. Wham-bam, thank you ma'am. And that's that. My job had obviously thrown all of my blog-inspired delusions of grandeur right out the window.

But only temporarily.

I still want to make this thing a fun, informative, quirky, artsy place. I am making a mid-years resolution to stay updated with internet goodies, my own work, and fun stuff. Changes might be coming in terms of my personal life, but fear not! My little blog will not go hungry for want of interesting content; no, I will be an awesome blog-mommy and fill its little belly with internet tastiness! * U *;;;

And now, for a happy helping of said content! Please enjoy "Ship-Shape with Ponyo", a lovely fanart painting I created during a week of migraines when the only thing that saved me was this movie, my coffeemaker, my pillow, and the couch.
